The Family Life Ministry “Ministering to Every Kind of Household”
In our culture today, there is no shortage of ideas on what makes marriage/families work. But God’s Word still contains the best advice for restoring hope and regaining the thrill of a lifelong relationship.
“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him male and female, He created them.” Genesis 1:27-28These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:6-9“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the Church, His body of which He is the Savior, So also wives just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to make her holy cleansing her by the washing with water through the word.” Ephesians 5:21-26The intricacies of life can complicate any marriage/family and create tension. It’s easy to feel confused or angry, frustrated and alone. The Family Life Ministry is here to strengthen, sustain and/or restore your vision of what it looks like to pursue a marriage/family that works.
This Ministry helps marriages/families:
- Explore God’s purpose for bringing you together in the first place.
- Understand the role hardship plays in making every marriage/family stronger.
- Make meaningful progress toward resolving past hurts.
- Learn to recognize hidden strengths of your marriage/family that disguise themselves as obstacles.
- Discover a brand new appreciation for your spouse/family.
- Create an individual plan for a lasting, healthy marriage/family.
- Develop an exciting new outlook for your life together.
The School of the Bible Couples Class is the main vehicle used to drive this ministry along with special events and individual counseling sessions.
Ministry of the Arts
Our objective is to magnify the name of the Lord expressing our love, adoration and worship to Him through the ministry of dance, praise, mime, stomp, and rap. To be prepared through the study of God’s Word, personal prayer time, bible study, workshops and special training according to 2 Timothy 2:15.
We are to spread the Gospel and Jesus Christ through the Liturgical interpretation of the word, to serve those who are gifted and called by God, and with the opportunity to minister through the arts and to dance before the Lord with all our might, bringing glory to Him – 2 Samuel 6:14.
Men’s Ministry
The Mighty Men’s Ministry continues to share in the development and spiritual growth of men to be servant leaders in the family, church, and community. The ministry is committed to honoring Jesus Christ as the foundation of our plans, mission and service. TO GOD IS THE GLORY! The challenge for men of all ages is to imitate Jesus Christ in our endeavors to be Christian leaders in our environment.
Our theme this year, “Men take your family/children to Christ”; emphasized the challenge we face with the adverse conditions and circumstances in the community and world we live. Luke 9:37-42 encourages us to faithfully go to Jesus Christ when the challenge is too great.
Planned Upcoming activities are:
Outreach ministry – an evangelistic street ministry to reach the unchurched and introduce the kingdom of God with organized teams, praying, praising and presenting Jesus Christ.
Servant workshop – This ministry will assist elderly women and widows with minor repairs and personal assistance as needed. Our youth and young men are encouraged to participate with emphasis on discipleship, growth and developing godly men.
Mighty Men’s Growth and Leadership ministry - will use a teaching video presentation entitled “Men leading the charge” by Steve Farrar. These sessions and activities is scheduled every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.

The Hospitality Ministry-Love to Strangers
Responsible for receiving and greeting members and our special guests.
“Welcome and warmly receive one another even as Christ has welcomed and warmly received you, for the glory of God.” Romans 15:7
“Distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.” Romans 12:13Ministry members must be a member of New Way, must have completed 13 weeks of new members orientation and must have a servant like attitude coupled with a fervent desire to serve others. Ministry members must have the gift of hospitality, must be willing to diligently seek to make visitors and members feel welcome, must be open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and willing to submit to the authority of the pastoral team.
All Ministry Members
- Serve as hosts/hostesses for worship services and other special services
- Greet everyone (guests and members inclusive) with a warm and friendly smile as you provide them with program, literature, newsletter, etc. and direct them to their designated areas with the LOVE OF JESUS
- Extend the welcome and a visitors name tag to visitors during worship services
- Keep hospitality desk neat and tidy at all times
- Refrain from socializing with friends while on duty, as it crowds the reception area
- Maintain order outside sanctuary during worship service
- To report to your assigned post according to the following schedule: 9:30 A.M. for 10:00 A.M. Worship Service
- Serve willingly where needed
- Adhere to ministry schedule
- Notify team leader of any prayer concerns
Ushers Ministry
Have you considered using your gift in this ministry? You can add a great deal to our worship experience serving in this ministry. The Usher’s ministry is a two-fold ministry consisting of our “Doorkeepers” and “Hospitality” ministries.
Some of the responsibilities of this ministry includes:
- Receive and greet members and visitors
- Direct worshippers
- Register visitors Hand out programs
The most important overall aspect of the ministry however is to create an atmosphere of praise, worship, prayer, and fellowship.

Liturgical Dance Ministry
The purpose of the “Liturgical Dance and Banner Praise Ministry is to “let them praise His name in dance – Psalms 149:3.”
New Way Fellowship Ministry of the Arts has ministered in dance at various churches in Miami-Dade County, Broward County and Palm Beach County. The ministry has ministered out of the country in Jamaica, Canada, Africa, and Germany while attending missionary trips as well as participating at many conferences (Cece Winans – Sister to Sister , The Gospel Heritage Conference, etc.) and others around the United States, (Washington, Tennessee, North Carolina, Atlanta, etc). We participated and were selected as the top ministry to represent Chenaniah Praise Dance Ministry and the Dade-Count, Broward County and West Palm Beach communities at the Gospel Heritage Conference. New Way Fellowship Ministry of the Arts was recently honored as one of the ministries of the year for 2009 at the Chenaniah’s Dancing With Authority Awards Conference.
Mime Ministry
The purpose of the “Mime Ministry,” is to glorify God and to exalt Jesus Christ by the expression and communication of an emotion, a thought, and idea or a story through body gestures and facial expression, and without any spoken word.
Stompers Ministry
The purpose of the “Stompers Ministry,” shall be to first glorify the Lord Jesus Christ according to Romans 15:6 and magnify the name of the Lord by making a joyful sound with the mouth, hands, and feet. As soldiers in the spiritual army of the Lord, to arrange battle order against the enemy and to wage war and lead an army against the foe by stomping.
The Banner – Praise Ministry
The purpose of the “Liturgical Dance and Banner Praise Ministry is to “let them praise His name in dance – Psalms 149:3.”
Rappers for Jesus Ministry
The purpose of the “Rappers for Jesus Ministry,” is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ according to Romans 15:6 and magnify the name of the Lord by making a joyful laughter with the mouth.
